Our hybrid-architecture model is out: about 32 billion parameters, with only 18 of its 72 layers keeping a KV cache, built for agent workloads and long-running sessions. It is derived from Qwen3.8-27B (Apache-2.0): a new 72-layer architecture transplanted onto its weights, then continued pre-training and agent post-training. The lineage is documented on the model card.

Meet Agens Volundr 32B v1 →Agens Engine, our open-source (MIT) inference engine for Volundr, runs on Linux today. Windows support is on the way, starting with WSL2, and so is support for 12 GB GPUs.

Agens speaks the agent stack natively. Upcoming Agens models use Blockway's own chat format and tool-call protocol, with parsers we maintain for popular serving runtimes — designed for, and being validated against, harnesses like Claway, Hermes Agent and OpenClaw, including long tool schemas and parallel calls.

Built in Hong Kong, Agens is being trained to work in Cantonese and Traditional Chinese as first-class languages — not as an afterthought — including natural spoken-Cantonese answers for everyday, technical and business questions.

Agens Pilot is our current publicly available model, released on Hugging Face with an OpenAI-compatible API. It remains in active use alongside Agens Volundr, and we continue to improve its serving performance and reliability.
