What it is
Eight categories — lesson prep, materials, question-setting, students, communication, admin, media and AI literacy. Pick a tool, fill in a short form, and a first draft arrives in about five seconds; a deeper mode takes about a minute. Every tool ships with a worked template — real AI output a teacher has already reviewed — so you see the finished thing before you type anything.
Set homework in three steps: a title, a due date, AI marking on. Students join a classroom with a class code. Submissions get a first pass from the AI, the teacher reviews it, and only then does it go back to the student — with the teacher's judgement, not the model's, on the record.
Everything ever generated is kept — searchable, foldered, and favouritable into a shared library. Upload last year's Word documents, meeting notes, mark sheets or forms, and the next draft follows that format, written only from what is inside the files you gave it.
The AI assistant does not only answer: ask it for a worksheet, a lesson plan, a quiz, an image or Cantonese narration, and it can read your own materials library while it works. When students use the AI tutor, teachers get per-lesson summaries — the original wording surfaces only when something is flagged as needing attention.
Built differently
Eight decisions that separate a workbench a teacher can hand to a class from a chatbot that happens to know about fractions.
Every AI artefact is born as a draft behind a review gate. The teacher opens it, reads it, and marks it reviewed; only then can it be sent to a class. It is not a setting that can be switched off — it is how the object model works.
Choose a subject and the year levels narrow to the Education Bureau's stages for it. Answers are written against the Hong Kong curriculum guides, and a curriculum context can be attached to a piece of work so the next draft stays inside it.
The interface, the drafts, the marking comments and the audio are Cantonese. Dictation is read aloud in Cantonese; narration for a teaching clip is generated in Cantonese. Not a translation layer over an English product.
Photograph the vocabulary page, tick the words you want, and each student's parent gets one link. The words are read aloud each evening, the child writes them, a photograph gets marked, and wrong characters return on days 1, 3 and 7 — with no scheduling by the teacher.
Dictation photographs are used only for marking and are deleted after 30 days. Student names are stripped before a support-meeting recording reaches the model. Tutor conversations are kept as summaries. Adding student data requires confirming parental consent, as the PDPO requires.
Upload last year's file and get a draft that follows its format — the school's headings, its order, its wording. The model writes only from the material in the files provided, so a school-specific document stays school-specific.
Record a subject meeting and a draft arrives about two minutes after it ends. Talk for three minutes after a lesson and the five-column observation form is filled in. The app tells you not to record meetings involving parents or personnel.
The parent link is a plain link, copied in one tap and sent through eClass, WhatsApp or the handbook. There is no parent app to install and no account for a parent to create.
The dictation cycle
默書 is the piece of Hong Kong teaching that eats the most evenings — setting the list, reading it aloud at home, marking it, and remembering which characters to test again. Eduway runs the whole loop.
Point the camera at the vocabulary page in the textbook. The AI pulls the words out; you tick the ones you want. About two minutes, start to finish.

Each evening the words are read out one at a time in Cantonese. The child writes them in the exercise book, at their own pace.
